The website is live!

Good news: Great Lakes Online Counseling’s website is live! Joe worked with Tom O’Malley from Session Sites and together they designed, built, and launched Joe’s new practice’s website.

If you are looking to revamp your practice’s website, we offer a deal with Session Sites directly for our listeners.

There’s often a quick turnaround, usually two to three weeks, and you can be launching your polished, fresh website for 2026 to showcase the best of what your practice has to offer.

How Joe’s doing the banking

In organizing Great Lakes Online Counseling’s bank, Joe’s opening up a new account with a bank he likes, knows, and trusts, and has worked with for years.

From there, once [that account] is set up we can get the business credit card, and with that business credit card I can get the things I do have to pay for. (Joe Sanok)

For example, Joe’s going to use the business credit card to pay things like the practice’s new Google Workspace account.

Scheduling clients with new hires

Now that slowly but surely the bank accounts and credit cards are coming together, as well as the website, and one new job application to the LinkedIn profile, Joe is starting to look at scheduling clients for the new hires.

I’m also thinking through the flow of scheduling. So, I [want] people to be able to start to schedule after I hire someone. You know, it’s interesting being a consultant and kind of knowing the flow, but now that I’m in the thick of it, being like, “Gosh, how do I do this!?” (Joe Sanok)

Here the experiment comes to life: Joe’s back to being faced with the same kinds of decisions that all other new private practice owners have to make as well.

Hiring new applicants

Now that Joe is starting to get applications from prospective employees, the screening slowly begins.

I’m going to be promoting this on Facebook and letting other people know who live in those states. So if you know people, go ahead and find me on LinkedIn and you’ll find Great Lakes Online Counseling. So, it will be interesting to see how the hiring process works here. (Joe Sanok)
