How to Network With Cold Contacts

Q&A was part of Next Level Practice, the most supportive community for therapists starting a private practice. In this video, Joe answers the question based on how to network with cold contacts.

Question

How do you network with cold contacts?

Answer

I actually I have a script for an email, which would basically say:

“Dear {insert name}

I saw that you have a Massage Therapy Practice. It looks like we have a very similar clientele. A lot of my clients are looking for different wellness approaches, including massage, and I think that I could send you some clients in the future.

I would love to get together and meet and see your practice, so that I have a better idea of describing it to future clients. Is there a time that I could bring a cup of coffee, or a bottle of Kombucha, over for us to drink to see your practice and learn more about what you do?

Thanks,

Joe”

So, framing it around ‘I’d love to send you clients, but I need to know who you are first. I’m want to know you before I send people your way’, is a great way to go from totally cold contacts to ‘Yeah, they might be able to send you some clients’.
