[0:54] I sure hope the you’re getting ready for two thousand seventeen and to just kill it in private practice in the coming year it’s so exciting to e-mails from all of you,
and to see how many people been subscribing to the podcast is just amazing to see how you guys share this podcast with your friends and you get these little cohorts of people that are watching podcast and just so inspired by it today.
Is the third day of practice so on the third day of practice to give to me three slow down steps to website questions and also money mindset it’s,
so today we’re talking about how to slow down and bring slow down a spark innovation is gonna be a ton more on this topic come in two thousand seventeen and slowing down,
i can read more about over at slowdownschool.com and be doing some videos and all sorts of other things,
but really want to walk through a couple quick steps that i see myself go through every single weekend,
so when i slow down on friday i’ve tried to my email and inbox zero is best as i can like to respond to everybody before i enter into the weekend.
And then at the latest at five o’clock on friday so most of friday usually do things with my family we kinda slow down and talk tomorrow about that.
I tomorrow are for today’s can be for the weekend and i talk a little bit about that but i usually do a little bit email on friday.

[2:22] And then i’m saturday and sunday i don’t any email i don’t any social media.
I don’t tweet I do as much as I can to you just genuinely slow down a lot of you know I’m some of my story of starting to burn out.
When i was working full-time and a part in my,
and also in private stressful time at community college i’m in private practice on the side was building consulting i really had to set some clear practices and so the three phases that i see myself go through every single time i slow down.
Is it the beginning or service like purging time where i can actually go to my phone or i’m thinking about my email and having ideas for my business.
And for me this weekend it was recording this obviously before christmas but it’s coming out after christmas we are getting our tree.

[3:14] And nothing i could be like instagram a lot of this already be doing these other things are had all these ideas are talking life by business and there’s like purging time of just getting it all out where it’s like,
i’m done with working for the week just simmer down go and then i have to can move into some practices that really help me,
to get away from thinking about work because i honestly love private practice i love consulting lo podcasting so much that he doesn’t feel like work to me.

[3:47] So when you’re at that point you really have to have these practices for me i started looking up some things are really interesting to me on-line and learning are washed a bunch of ted ed talks and,
hangout with my daughter my five year old and we had my parents over for dinner and then went over my in laws house the next day and had friends over,
and so really having his practices that setting clear boundaries but also give you something to do other than think about your business first one was purge.
Then practice and then i almost always than in the last third or so of the weekend.

[4:25] Start to feel a lot more presents were and fully present there are not thinking about my business not worrying about different things and then.
You towards the end the weekend s are coming in back up for the weeks on monday do a little bit emailing can work on a few things and i’ll talk tomorrow a little bit more about those four day weekends.

[4:44] For me it that purging practice and presents just improve my overall quality of life.
And when you do that when you take that time to slow down that’s when the Sparks of innovation come we’re going to go way deeper into that in 2017 but tomorrow,
it’s going to be at the fourth day of practice and we’re gonna be talking about a four day weekend so i will talk to you tomorrow thanks for letting me in two years and into your brain.
Have an awesome day.
