What Joe did this week
A larger portion of the time that Joe allocates to building Great Lakes Online Counseling was spent this past week replying to important emails.
Additionally, Joe had an interview with a potential clinician to hire for the online practice!
[We] had a good interview! Once I’m ready to hire that person, I’ll tell you more about them. We’re just getting some final check-offs on that with regard to being able to make sure this person is a good fit! (Joe Sanok)
Once Joe decides that this new candidate is a good fit for Great Lakes Online Counseling, they will:
- Go through the contract
- Sign off on the terms and conditions
- Start the onboarding process
From there, we’re going to go full-tilt back into the second round of the website. The website’s up! But once we have that person hired, it’s going to be about making sure all of those automations are going. (Joe Sanok)

While things have been looking up with regard to hiring his first clinician, Joe is still reluctant to celebrate, since the trials of hiring were one of Joe’s biggest lessons learned so far in this process.
My fingers are crossed – I don’t want to count my chickens before they hatch … because things can still fall through the cracks, but as we continue to move forward, I’m trying to share with you all of the ups and downs, and one of the downs … was how tough the hiring process has been! (Joe Sanok)
