Joe: With an online practice, the things you really want to think about is especially internal linking and SEO, so that you’re ranking high. But then, also connecting with influencers in your community that are online. So that can be your local blogs, local websites, local podcasters, people that already have a group of people that understand online. And so, for them, online counseling is a natural extension of that.

You also want to start to market outside of your own city because, you can then see people from all over the state. So, looking at different influencers throughout your entire state and trying to get on those podcasts, trying to get on to those local news, or in those other newspapers. Really networking throughout your state.

I would also go look at the URL for your state plus ‘online counseling’. So many people I’ve consulted with have been able to pick up, for example, ‘Online Wisconsin Counseling’. So I would look for those just to have those websites.
